Political Theory is nothing more than two or more people asking, "what do we do now?" Or, from time to time, one person declaring what they're all going to do now by use of a pointy stick.
My goal in this class is to introduce students to the very concept of government (and even before that, of communal groups, etc.) one small piece at a time.
In that sense, we will not be diving incredibly deeply into any particular country's exact political details, though we will at least seek to build up to the basic premise of the American system of representation via voting, checks and balances amongst the three branches, etc. as a natural conclusion to our more fundamental studies.
Special intent will be made to 'gamify' the learning as much as possible - as playing a classroom game built off of the concepts will lead to not only a more integrated understanding of cause and effect within these systems but also a much more excited outlook on continuing to learn about them in the rest of life!
